I had Rogers Cable for 15 years and I was not a big fan of it for 100s of reasons. But it did almost always work. Sure I may have 1 day a year where we would loose signal for a few hours.
I have had FiberOP now for a few months now and so far I have had almost one day of NO TV and often see glitches when I am watching a show that I never did see with Rogers. Is this normal with FiberOP or am I just having a bad experience? |

I've been on fiber op for over a year and before that I had Aliant TV over DSL.
never really experienced any issues. I only have the PVR and one set top box, and both are connected via Cat 6 into a switch and then the switch goes into the router. I have had friends who have had issues. typically minor and usually some form of equipment failure that Aliant was able to resolve on a site visit. When was it that you had NO tv? was it a saturday a few months back? |

IMHO, the reliability is about the same. I've had my shares of problems with ROGERS and I've had a few ones with FO just as well. Especially in the first months of my install. Since then nothing major.
