Purpose of this Forum

The purpose of this forum is for members to sell their used working gear and to have a place to pick up some bargains.

One of the main reasons why we dropped the previous Buy/Sell forum is that so many posters simply refused to follow the rules and it caused headaches with moderators.

We are re-introducing the forum but this time it will be real simple. Break any of the following rules and your thread will be gone - without warning! This may seem draconian but moderators have lives and don't want to waste their time with problems in the selling forum!

Rules of the Selling Forum

The following rules govern all new threads for the selling forum.

• You must have been a Digital Forum member for at least two weeks and have more than 5 posts outside this forum in order to post.
• You must include the City you are in (even if you ship anywhere) and the product in your subject.
• You must include a price either in the subject or the body of the thread. If the item is free, please post that instead of the price.
• Threads with ALL CAPITAL SUBJECT TITLES OR MESSAGES will be deleted.
• Only personal items in working condition may be sold here. Dealers are NOT allowed.
• Items must be consumer electronics related.
• Anyone selling more than one of an item or posting multiple threads of similar items may be deemed a dealer and have their posts removed. (PM me before posting if you have any doubts)
• Ebay links, Craigslist links, and links to classified sites are NOT allowed.
• Links to manufacturer sites are allowed but links to retail sites are not allowed.
• Images from anything but a personal site are not allowed. (Image sizes must be less than 640 pixels wide and under 50k out of respect to readers)
• No thread bumping.
• Updated pricing must be at least 20% less than the original asking price or it will be considered bumping.
• WTB (wanted to buy threads) or "Want to Trade" or "how much is my item worth" threads are not allowed.

Warning, we will NOT delete threads because items have been sold. Simply put in the thread that the item has been sold. If you posted in this forum and your post is now missing, please see "Why did my For Sale post get deleted?"

Reporting your thread as a "Bad Post" will result in you being issued an infraction.

From time to time we will purge the threads in this forum so it will be deleted at this time and no sooner!

Digital Home takes no responsibility for failed transactions or the integrity of sellers. We recommend that you personally contact the buyer via phone or in person and confirm all details prior to any transaction.
