i feel like a negative nancy in this thread but these new channels seem to have dropped the picture quality IMO.

Now that you mention it I gotta admit, I am seeing higher than normal levels of macroblocking lately even with the slightest camera panning. Perhaps that's what we are in store for now as a trade off for more channels? I wonder if anyone has been capturing the bitrates lately to see of they are indeed compressing more because it sure looks that way.

Maybe this and the prior message should be part of a new thread. By all means 57, move these if necessary as we are moving off-topic but is should be discussed.

Tonight (In Newfoundland), I have found Bravo HD on 992, Discovery HD on 993 and Space HD on 995 but the Disc is asking for me to subscribe. The other two are working.

FX HD is also on 994 but not in the guide.

Tonight in Newfoundland the guide is showing the following:

538 - Hifi
539 - Oasis
540 - Eqhd
541 - radX

They are repeated on 992 - 995

Note that none of these are working, they just show black screen. Also, the channels in my previous post are now gone e crept FXHD which is now on 565. ???

Yeah, I don't know what's going on here in Newfoundland... haven't got Bravo, Discovery or Space HD yet.

ABC Spark now available on channel 214. Replacing Kids TV OnDemand. Don't know if it's a free preview or not.

We maybe don't have Hollywood Suite yet, but Rogers have find some bandwidth to add 6 OnDemand channels.
