Thanx ScaryBob.

All of my phones are still connected at each jack, and connected to the main Bell junction box in the basement. At night, all I do is disconnect the junction box by unplugging it from the Demarcation Jack, thus disabling all of my phones at once.

The 24/7 phone is connected via an external line run out to the external Bell box where the main Bell line comes from underground.

If I understand your suggestion, you are saying that I should leave the Demaracation Jack plugged in, and unplug all of my phones separately, correct???

Then, I should start by plugging in one phone for several days and wait.

Then plug in a second phone for several days and wait, etc...

Have I got that correct?

My kids friends are definitely notthe issue. We have no problems there.

No marriage break-ups either, etc...

As of today, still no overnight phone calls, both with and without all the phones plugged in overnight.

I stll have one phone plugged into the outside box 24/7, using an external wire.

Don't know what has happened, but the family & I are getting some good sleep at the moment.

Maybe Bell has finally figured this problem out and corrected it.

Good to hear. Who knows. POTS landline phones can do some weird things. Sometimes just moving wires around can change things. Corrosion or loose connections... There are so many variables.

It blows me away that landline infrastructure still works considering how old some of it is, and the fact that each customer is on this tiny pair of wires from the office all the way to the residence, with many junctions and splices along the way to cause potential problems.

Anyway I don't want to babble.
