BeIn Sports (terrible name btw) will have a free preview online in the USA until August 15 (ie includes first weekend in the French league), but as usual what's happening in Canada isn't clear.

I wonder if this will be an accompaniment to the online only premierleaguelive.tv service, which is owned by Sportsnet? If indeed this happens?

OK, so the French Ligue 1 starts today, Spain's La Liga next weekend, Serie A a week later, and (unless I missed it?) no word yet on where we can watch these leagues.

Doesn't look good for any of them so far.

As for the German and Spanish leagues, the GolTV site says they will have their schedules up soon. |

I'd take that thing about a schedule from GolTV with a grain of salt. For the last few years, they have released their weekly schedule for Saturday - Friday on the day before (the Friday). This is both on their website and in the PVR guide, so basically you have no idea what games they will be showing or when. They have guaranteed that they will show all Barcelona and Real Madrid games live for the past couple of years, so that is one exception.

I can't get EuroWorld Sports without changing my provider. I think only Rogers has it. If BeIn Sports comes into existence and has the French and Italian leagues will there be anything left for EWS to broadcast?

Their site says they are available on other providers (Bell, Shaw etc) besides Rogers. I have Rogers so I don't really know.

Well BeIn is in existence, or will be, in the States. But there's no mention of them coming here. The trouble is that TLN (EWS) and Gol Canada haven't renogitiated their La Liga, Serie A or French League contracts yet. As it stands, it doesn't look good. I imagine someone will pick up Serie A. Has The Score also not got their usual Sunday game (s)?
