You're mistaken. Proof:
1. Try downloading Pandora in Canada from the Google Play store on your device. It doesn't show up at all.
2.Have an old version of Pandora or any other US only app on your phone/tablet. Try to update it. It won't show up at all (again)
3. Go to the USA with your device. Clear your Play Store Cache. Log into McDonalds or Starbucks that has free wifi. And just like magic, you end up at the Google Play USA store. Select My apps and you will see that Pandora is waiting there to be updated or search for it and it'll be there, unlike in Canada and if you've used unblock settings on your device. When you return to Canada you will once again be blocked from accessing the Google Play USA store. You'll end up in Google Canada. The same applies to any other country eg. China, Japan, Taiwan

You can also try the above by backing up the app on to SD card and deleting from your device. I do this countless times when I cross border shop in the USA. Bottom line, it works

I have no idea where and how to get the info I am looking for. Help me please.

I want to purchase a panasonic or samsung smart tv in Canada. If I buy my blu ray in the Usa, will it give me accesse to US app version.

I am trying to get both Canadian apps and US app. Will it be a easy way to do that?

Thank you for any king of help.

It doesn't matter where you buy your TV or Blu-Ray, you will need to use a DNS spoofing services or VPN to access US Netflix etc.

It simple terms, chose your TV & blu-ray, purchase them, sign up to Unblock-Us or Unotelly, follow the setup instructions (super easy) and away you go.

If I were you, I would look for a smart tv that allows changes to the DNS settings, that would be the easiest. I don't know if the software in smarttvs have VPN settings but you definitely can check it out at Best Buy. Ask the sales associate to walk you through wifi configuration settings. You may not have much luck though in finding a associate who can help you though.

If you live in a border town, you can always go to the Best Buy in the USA. I know they have many Canadians who buy US tv's and bring them back to Canada, many also watch Netflix and other US only websites/apps on their smarttv.

I am not certain, but even if you have unblock installed on your computer, you will still need to manually configure the settings on your tv's wifi settings. Other who have a smartv can jump in on how to accomplish this.

Changing DNS settings on a Canadian TV doesn't make a difference. I know, I have a Sony TV and it doesn't work.

I know I may be stating the obvious here, but router settings will often take precedence over a device's DNS settings. So if your router handles DNS, it doesn't matter what you do with the TV, it will get overruled.

edit: corrected my statement

Wrong.

My devices with DNS overrides do not use the settings from my router.

Maybe it's your Sony tv or you're not doing something right?
It makes no sense if your device (tv) has manual DNS configuration ability.

It really should not be any difference than connecting your device like (Android or iPhone) and changing the dns settings on that device. You can keep the default router settings and you should still be able to access Hulu and Netflix if you changed your DNS settings correctly on your device.

I have the DNS server for unblockus in my router. I can use Hulu Plus and Vudu etc on my xbox. A smart tv should be no different.

Some smart TVs have a country setting in their firmware that controls what 'apps' are available to you. My Samsung plasma that's a few years old already had the Netflix app and it showed US content thanks to Unblock-US, but it wouldn't let me see & install apps like Hulu Plus and VUDU until I reset the region of the TV to USA.

The trick you need to do to change the Samsung app store region depends on the version of the TV, but here's one example that works for a lot of recent Samsungs: http://youtu.be/gsDbgAoWcD0

The Canadian Sony TV firmware prohibits using US DNS servers for the built in NETFLIX app-PERIOD. I can access US Netflix on my Sony TV by using a WDTV Live with altered DNS severs.
