Just an FYI for folks thinking of starting a USA account and buying a Visa prepaid card from one of the services that sell them. I found that Netflix will not accept a prepaid card as payment. They work fine for Hulu+ tho.
so i took the info from the posts above that Netflix will show you content where it "thinks" you are. So i signed up on Netflix using my Canadian credentials and looked at Netflix. I then signed off and started the VPN and looked at Netflix again. got a message along the lines of - travelling with Netflix? you may see different content from your home account when you travel. I guess Netflix Canada has improved over time? i dont see much difference in content so far. The one thing i noticed tho. the movie "The Hunger Games" is not on USA but is on Canada. |

I live in Canada and could not get past the zip code thing no matter what I did. I set up a U.S Paypal account. Nothing. What I finally did was go to Hulu Plus. Just below the 1 week free trial is Give A Hulu Plus gift subscription. Click on that. Click On Buy A Gift Subscription. Click on the number of months. I entered my Canadian mastercard number with the zip code 48059 They proseed my payment. I got an email and followed the directions. In 5 minutes I was watching Hulu Plus.

What i do is get a pre-paid Hulu Plus gift card for 6 months. I just drive to Niagara Falls NY and pick one up. You can get them at Walmart or Target. Their is no credit card required and it works like a charm with a VPN service. All you need to do is enter a U.S. zip code that is valid.
