I have a Hitachi 61UDX10B which I purchased new about 11 years ago. In the pase few days the picture and sound drops out after turning it on. It started with turning it off and then turning it back on after a few seconds and it would stay on the rest of the day with no problems. However, now I must turn it off and back on several times to get it to stay on. The red power light remains lit but the picture and sound goes out. Sounds like a power supply going bad. Has any one else had the same problems? I scanned all Hitachi treads and found no similar problems.

Here's the FAQ of things to check. Perhaps a stuck button on the TV itself (point 21), but perhaps something more serious. Are you turning it on/off with the remote? Have you tried the button on the TV? Good Luck
