So i dont see too much discussion on the actual Fibe TV/internet/phone bundles.
Is anyone aware of deals in Ontario (ottawa) that are superior to the standard website ones? What ive seen and heard from a store rep looks something like this: Better TV package with TMN 15/10 internet Basic home phone with 2 services (call display and voice mail) TV $74.48 (regular monthly charge it appears) +20 for TMN (HBO package) -$15.88 for promotional discount (for 6 months) -$9 for bundle discount * so for 6 months my TV costs $70 then goes to approx $85 Internet $53 -$4 for bundle discount *so $49 for internet with 75GB cap (cap is fine for my use) Phone $40 -$4 bundle discount *so phone is $36 ongoing There is also a one time activation fee of $49.95 All 3 bundles get you the whole home PVR free, reduction in installation fee to $0 (cost $250 for no contract, $125 for 1 year and 2 years $0) So basically its about $170 monthly after 6 months ($154 before that) Doesnt seem particularly great. Especially when i was hearing things like 1 year free then website pricing. Your thoughts? |

You may be able to negotiate a better price especially if you are with a competitive provider.
Note that the "free" PVR is based on you having it for 3 years. |

You can always negotiate a better price. Like above if your a winback customer or coming from a competitor there are good deals. I believe about a couple months ago there was a deal for 6 months free if you signed up for the triple play or 6 months free for internet if you signed up for TV.

I have a question regarding my channel selection. I have been with Fibe for a bout a year now (Montreal) and when first choosing my channel lineup I noticed that National Geographic was part of the A La Carte channels but that the HD channel was part of another HD package. I had selected the National Geographic from one of my A La Carte channels but did not get the hd package for it. However now that I think about it I have always had National Geographic HD as well. Initially I thought this was a free preview but it's been over a year now and I still have NatGeo in HD.
Is there something I'm missing here or is this a case of something just slipping through the cracks? |
