Cogeco has purchased Atlantic broadband, entering the U.S. market for the first time. They paid 1.3 Billion for the company which has customers in several states including Florida.

I would be very pleased if they would first invest in bringing in more HD channels. I don't really understand their reluctance to do that before they go out and spend a pile on a U.S. company. Look what happened in Portugal.
