I too am on a grandfathered plan (basic services for $74.90, signed up for a promo at the right time) and though I don't need to upgrade at the moment, I worry about what might happen in the future, especially if I want to upgrade our internet.
Really glad Shaw Champ could help out some folks here--my impressions had been that customer retention was less of a concern for Shaw lately, compared to the past. |

I'm about to move in with someone with shaw and cancelling my account. I think he has the first Bundle with Persional TV/High Speed10. My question is: Is HD Plus still availible? I want the channels I used to have (TLC HD, A&E ect) with HD Plus, not the expensive Best of HD which has a lot of channels I dont want. Can you still add the HD Plus package to that bundle?

What I've heard last time, "HD plus" is not avaliable with the the personal plan.

jonosvision, have you thought about "moving" your service to the new address and cancelling the other service? That way you can keep your grandfathered plan.

Personal TV is cheaper than Basic Cable. So basically Personal TV plus Best of HD isn't too much more expensive than basic cable with hd plus.
offering the cheaper hd plus package on personal tv wouldn't work. |

Well is seen that SHAW is at it again, 5 dollar increase. Seems like we are paying for top service without the actual services.
My current bill: Shaw Digital Classic/Movies&HighSpeed $129.95 • G4tech TV $2.95 • DejaView $2.95 • Action $2.95 • Showcase Diva $2.95 • BET $2.95 • MovieTime $2.95 • DIY $2.95 • 7 Pack Discount -$12.70 • HD Plus $17.00 • Extreme $10.00 • Purchase Modem Discount -$5.00 = $159.90 + 10% Tax = $175.90 (When I first started June 2010 $158 taxes in, Last year $163.80) Quote:
For an extra $3.00 dollars and I would have BB50 which would be DOUBLE the current internet speed. This is not right AT ALL. So my question is does HD Plus include MovieTime so that if I get rid of the entire 7 pack discount I wouldn’t loose MovieTime HD. That would make my bill $151.95 ($167.15 taxes in.) Another question is does HD Plus consist of 45 HD channels? |

MovieTime HD is on "HD Entertainment (Plus)", not sure if this mean it's on HD Plus Bundle, but the question is will they still accept you to change the plan without "Upgrade" you into the Personal Plan?

Isn't Movietime SD on Tier 4 now as I get it and don't subscribe to it?

I'm in Langley B.C. I have BB50 Internet,Basic Cable/PVR and Home Phone for the last year. $56 per month including tax. This rate runs out Jan 11,2013.
I had Internet only before this bundle. Took the Bundle because it was $30 Cheaper to get this Bundle than only BB50 Internet. Did not use the home phone ever. Have enjoyed the programming on the TV but I can get that over the Internet if I want. I won't watch as much TV if I get rid of the Cable. Is there a BB100 Internet only promotion? Please post details if there is and tell me how to get promotion department to call me. Thanks |

So I have Personal TV + Broadband 50; Timeshift; Movie Central; Best of HD: Total $147.90. I want to add Spike TV for a couple of months (for just one show) and the rep says $10, Sports 2 pkg. Since when is Spike TV under a sports pkg? And when is a-la-carte coming?

This indicates that full episodes will be available. I have unotelly for ~$5 a month and can watch full tv episodes on spike tv's website.
