Default Canadian Sony 60NX720 with US Firmware?

I'm not sure if my question is "no brainer simple" or "no brain stupid".

I have a Canadian 60NX720. I would like to have access to the Hulu Plus widget. Can I download the US firmware and install it on this TV? If so, how?

Thanks

Using US firmware may 'brick' your TV or void any warranty you may have on it. I would just use a internet equipped bluray player with the apps you need. Or use a boxee box or roku internet content streamer and a vpn service and your good to go.

Yeah, that's what I'm doing now. Mi was thinking if I could get Hulu Plus directly on the TV, I could move the PS3 to a different TV. I decided to not take the risk though and I have ordered a Roku box. It seemed a lot smarter to spend $1000 than to risk thousands.

Default It works

There was a recent software update two dasys ago for ex 720.

I have hulu plus on my ex 720set do not know how long it has been there.

I did have hulu plus subscription but cancelled it. I did not like the programming not my cup of tea.

I would check and see if u have it.

In any event it will not work cause the system will recognize your canadian IP address and block you.
To avoid this you have to use a vpn service and they range in prices from 5 to 20 dollars a month.

I use un block us and it is very good but there are several others quite as good.

An other issue I do not believe hulu plus will accept a Cand address so you would have to use an american address, being a snowbord I had no problems.
