Default A/C- Furnace problem

I noticed a slight water buildup below my furnace and traced it to a point on the top of the furnace where the duct-work begins. There is a black hose attached to a white module that says "caution coil pressurized". This module is held in place to the duct-work by a putty like substance that has cracked. Air and a bit of moisture are escaping from this crack. Is this something I should be greatly concerned about?

It sounds like the condensed water vapour (water) from the cooling coils is leaking out. That's not a serious problem. The cracked caulking can be repaired. Make sure the drain hose (black pipe) is not plugged as well. There should be water exiting the hose into a drain or sump pump. (If it's a sump pump, make sure it's functioning properly. It should pump the water to a drain pipe when full.)

Yes the drain hose was plugged and since cleared. Thanks for the advice. What type of putty/substance should I use to repair?

Local building suppliers (like Home Depot) should have something made for furnace ducts.
