Finally, instead of monopolizing streaming of its channels through its wireless services, Bell is doing what it should have done in the first place by adopting the "TV Everywhere" model used by many U.S. channels, where access is regulated by participating service providers, beginning with the Bravo Go app.

CTV, CTV News, TSN, RDS and Discovery are also on the way. (Hopefully they follow the lead of ESPN and call the TSN one "WatchTSN" instead)

I just want to watch my local (Montreal) CTV news online in real time. If I had an OTA antenna I could do it for free. But Bell wants me to sign up BEFORE I can watch it. First I think that's stupid and second if it's free over the air why do I have to pay and third has anyone figured out how to hack the CTV News GO login?

It's obviously easier to find free US and UK live channel feeds, but FilmOn (will be killed if Aereo loses in court) provides some CTV live streams from various cities that are also illegally redistributed (usually in Standard Def) to other websites. I haven't come across a live CTV Montreal stream, but they have Calgary and some other locations scattered around the net that do work.

It's obviously best to have HD feeds, but beggars can't be choosers.
