I have noticed, that American TV stations, like to have their bug on the screen always visible, never transparent. For example, TLC always has their logo 100% opaque and never transparent. Another example is Discovery U.S., the Globe in the D is always spinning, but in Canada, it turns transparent after a few seconds, why is that?
I hate how CTV (and probably others) put up ads at the bottom of the screen during the opening credits & block who's guest starring in that episode. Ugh...

Or over subtitles, when someone is speaking in other than English.
Regardless, I generally find those things to be extremely annoying, though some channels are worse than others.
Beyond the station logo, discretely tucked into a lower corner, if it's not part of the show, it's in the way. Get rid of that crap!!!
