Is the Gateway system going to be reduced any further during this sale?

I would also like to know if the Gateway will go any cheaper.......it seems like we would have heard about it by now. I would buy it if the price was the same as last yr $200 incl one box.

It was $149 for 1 gateway and 1 portal. Additional portal was $50 each. MCX3400 was $99

I don't think those prices will be back again. That sale was at the time when the wait time on telephone support was over an hour...

better than I remembered.....crazy......I wish they would do it again....I would like to give the Gateway a try vs using two Motorolla 3400's with the same remote code on my main system.

The Gateway portal would save me some space on my component rack.

any deals out there on a portal? better than 138 at BB, FS, and LD right now?

was thinking of getting a used PVR on craigslist and trading it in, but there's a bunch of rules now.... only eligible models are the Moto 3416 and 3400, and the trade in period is 30 days after gateway purchase... it's been about a year now for me.

So which unit is the "one to get" to replace the old trusted 6416 III? Do we get a trade-in allowance even though we didn't pay for ours? We're also not renting.

I wouldn't touch the 3510 with, well, anything. (Currently at least. See Shaw forums for why....Though locked, it's 84 pages of not so happy people.)

I can only speak to the Gateway system, and it being overall pretty decent. Still needs some work but it does what I want it to do with only the odd issue from time to time.

They are pushing out the 7.1 update soon and it's supposed to have some improvements/fixes/tweaks.

It is the most expensive of the bunch but it's worth it as far as I am concerned. Having 6 tuners is quite nice at times. (No more "recording conflicts".)

Gateway $221 and portals regular price. 2 portals from Shaw or go the future shop or best buy route and buy gateway and portal for about $400.
