Not necessarily. I noticed a few weeks ago when watching predator 2 that it was edited for content. This was watched ~ 10PM.
I have to say that I’m not impressed with this since they advertise that they are a premium service and they air edited films for content.
I also hated how they butchered Robocop as every swear had the typical beep over it.
However about a month ago they aired fight club around the same time (10PM) and that was not edited for content at all. From my observation it depends on the movie or like the OP stated, this is a brand new issue.
It's easy enough for the networks or cable operators to delay feeds for each time zone
