Default In Wall Wiring Above Fireplace

We have several Cat6 lines and an RG6 line running in wall above our fireplace where our TV will be mounted. Is there any risk to the lines from heat exposure?

Probably not, but you need to know where your fireplace exhausts. Is it gas? Word burning? Electric?

The other thing to note is that you should run fire rated cabling (eg. CL3_) or use a raceway whenever you're installing behind a wall.

It is gas burning and the wires are away from the exhaust vent.
All cables are fire rated. What is a raceway.
Thanks

If it's away from the exhaust vent you should be fine. A raceway is a channel that you run wires through (really, it's just a tube).
