Does anyone know when shaw will enable us to use the RF Extender that came with my gateway?
Really would like to not have to have line of sight to the portal and be able to hide it with the rest of my equipment. Was told it would be through an update when i got it but after talking to a tech today who couldn't get it to work and thought it already was enabled but it's not working so is there a way to get it to work or do i have to wait on shaw? |

He probably means an IR extender as the remote is IR, not RF, isn't it?
But alas, my gateway did not come with anything! |

As has been discussed before, there will never be support for a remote IR eye on the current generation of Portals as the port is an 'out' for an IR Blaster, rather than an 'in' for a remote eye. This is hopefully something that will be available on the next generation of Portal. Apparently some IR tethers were sent out of the warehouse with some Portals in error. I didn't receive any with any of my 6 Portals and I got them at different times.
