Ted Bird leaving CKRK (K103), jumping to CKGM (TSN Radio 990)?

Bird announced to listeners of K103 Radio in Kahnawake on Monday morning that this would be his last week with the station.

Bird’s next move hasn’t been confirmed, but rumours are spreading that he will join the morning show at TSN Radio 990 as early as next week.

The radio veteran joined the K103 morning show in April 2010 on a one-year contract that was extended a second year. After meeting with station management and the board of directors, it was agreed the deal would not be renewed for a third year.

“It was mutually agreed that it’s time to move on,” Bird said on the air.

Bird came to K103 a few months after he had suddenly resigned from a long career at Montreal’s CHOM-FM over what he called creative differences with that station’s management.
