9242 shows recording on guide but no light on reciever - Page 3 - Canadian TV, Computing and Home Theatre Forums

I apologize for the confusing posts on my part. I will put the tv into Single Mode and connect the power inserter and see what happens.

I have noticed in the pvr recordings list that some shows that I wanted recorded showed as "signal" as an error.

I guess I was confused as to what Dual/Single mode really meant. I guess that is why they have manuals huh?!

I have set the 9242 to Single Mode and, as the various experts have repeatedly told me, with the power inserter installed, the recording features are now working as advertised.

Thanks everyone who was patient and pointed out the true nature of the problem, though I couldn't see it.
