Hello,
Has anyone else had this problem Blu-Ray 5.1 Playback quitting on the PS 3? Here is a few details: DVD 5.1 works all the time, HK 230 receiver, optical connection, and the PS3 reverts back to 2 channel verified with on screen information. Thanks, |

Go into your "Video" settings, and set the optical sound output to "bitstream". I don't know why they put that sound setting under video, but that will fix it! It is likely on LPCM now, and that is why you lose the rear channels...
So: - Settings - Video settings - BD Audio Output Format (Optical Digital) - set to "Bitstream" |
