In a last-ditch move to save face, they are sending this message via their outgoing president. While there are no product announcements yet, this soundbite is most certainly designed to pave the way for more announcements.

Good Stuff ive always been a fan of Toshiba players. Maybe when there BD players come out I will buy one and stop using my PS3 as a BD player.

Yes but... but... a certain Harris poll said that HD-DVD penetration was higher than Blu-ray why would Toshiba even consider this?
