Surfed past tonight's game. Not only is it HD, but it's DD5.1.

I don't even like basketball, but this looks great! And the 5.1 is a pleasant surprise; that's gotta be a first for TSN-HD? I didn't even know they had the capability to pass 5.1.

I believe that all the HD stations can "pass" DD5.1, but they often don't get material that way.

I've seen, er heard, DD5.1 on ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, City, TMN, Rogers280 and now TSN. That only leaves a couple...

Anyone who mentions the ABC hockey games weren't DD5.1 on TSN are correct, but they were only stereo to begin with...

Woh. That "Day After Tomorrow"/NBA trailer, in HD and 5.1, was very cool.

I caught most of the final quarter. I thought the PQ was outstanding! And yah, I was surprised that it was DD5.1 ... actually did have sound from all speakers.

finally. after the game switched to Sportsnet HD and enjoyed their HD sportsnetnews, along with HD clips of the NBA and NHL games. Now these guys have an idea of how this service should be run. Kudos to TSN for coming through with the game.
