I am interested in a used Paradigm Monitor 7 speakers, however, the seller informed me that one of the dust cap has a dent from a child's finger. Will this affect sound quality? Since this is a remote purchase, audition not possible.
Also wondering what does the version number mean? i.e. I was looking for Paradigm Monitor 7 v.4, but this one is apparently a Paradigm Monitor 7 v.3. Will there be significant improvement based on the version? (I am thinking from a software/firmware perspective). Thank you for any input.

a wee dent on the dustcap should have no discernible affect on sound quality from a speaker in the Paradigm Monitor line.
The V2's were Paradigm's first foray into metal tweeters (silk prior in in the V1). The V3's were almost identical, but the crossover point was a tad higher (unofficially, Paradigm was pushing there metal domed tweeters too hard with the 1800 hz crossover point, and they were failing... V3 had the tweeter crossed at 2100 hz, IIRC - crossover orders remained the same.) The Monitor 7 (v2, and z3 were my favorite from the Monitor line) .
