Hi all, this is my first post in these forums.
I was wondering if anyone else has had issue with creating a new favorites list on their Model 6000 receiver. I have no issue creating the new list name but as soon as I try to add even one channel to the list my receiver seems to reboot and nothing has been applied. As I spend most of my time watching HDTV I wanted to create a quick list to those channels for browsing.

Exact same thing happened to me the other day. I tried to do it about 3 or 4 times and finally just gave up. I really should give BEV a call and see what lame ass excuse they will have.

I had the exact same problem, I called BEV CSR and they had me do a hard reset and a memory dump(not sure if that the right term?)
That seemed to clear everything up, the only problem with that was that anything created before that was deleted. |

Something similar happened to me the first one or two times I tried to create a favourites list. I just kept trying until it worked. After that there were no problems.

All you have to do is change the name on save #4. Change it to "4" and hit save. It will. Then goto list #3 and add all the ones you want. Hit save and everything will work. Just have to change the name on #4. Worked for me and my buds.

This is how you do the Memory Dump (or what I could find on it)
Press: Option - 6 - 3 Press: Info - Right - Left Press: TV/Video Turn off |

Thanks Elite, this did the trick. It appears that ALL four favorite slots have to have a name. I cracked open the manual and by default they are LIST 1, LIST 2, LIST 3, LIST 4. So I set them like in the manual and, working backwards 4-1 I added a channel to each. And it worked! I then added the HD channels to LIST 1, removed the test channels from 2-4, and then renamed LIST 1 to HDTV. All is now well. Thanks everyone for all your assistance.

I had the same problem and naming ALL of the lists and putting a channel in each seemed to work. The way you can tell if it's working or not before you save and have yet another reboot is if the "remaining channels" feature is working correctly. For me, when it would reboot the remaining channels always had "6..." in red text but when I made the changes above it started calculating them correctly.
