I've read so many posts in the 6 months prior to joining, that I have lost track of who said what, but I believe I got the idea for the bird perch from reading this forum.
With my next antenna using 9 gauge aluminum for the elements and the reflectors, I have not planned on using a perch. But, I think I will leave enough mast so that I'll have the option! |

Probably from me in my research on Australian antennas. They have a real problem down there with flocks of parrots, heh.
And they probably sass back to boot, heh. And they probably could snap off 8 gauge wire with their powerful beaks. Instant frequency adjustment, heh.
