A StatsCan report issued this week has reported the Canadian cable television industry customer base increased considerably in 2007 thanks to the industry's expansion into the telephone market.
Some interesting stats in this including the fact that about 40% of the cable industries revenues now comes from cable telephone service and Cable internet service.

I suspect that as soon as Cable (Rogers notwithstanding) get into cell phones in a big way, there will be further market penetration.

I can't say that I'm surprised by this conclusion. Obviously, their revenues will increase, when they offer additional services, and they take off as well as they have.
