For those who are wondering, it was originally scheduled to air on E! in Canada, it is now back on Global in simulcast.

I watched redemption last night on FoxHD W.
The last half was all pixelated, freeze ups and sound dropouts.
No idea whether this was an EVu problem or a Fox Seattle problem, or maybe a Fox network problem. Anybody else have that problem???
It wasn't simsubbed, so i never even thought that global might be running it.

I enjoyed the first 2 hours last night, looking forward to another 2 hours tonight

It remains true to the series, and the fact that CTU is gone and the whole Senate Inquiry business, plus Washington D.C. as a backdrop gives it a much needed shot in the arm.

The entire 4-hour premiere was pretty darn good IMO.

24 is probably the best show on network television.
yeah, it was good to see Chloe back. Amen.

There are some "shake your head in disbelief" moments though, but it doesn't take away from the fun of the show.

For instance. When jack and Tony are escaping from the FBI, they were guided by Chloe's hacking of the FBI surveillance system. Nice. But howcome the FBI weren't able to do the same when they got access to the system back?

Jack and Tony were driven in a blue van to their hideout. How come the FBI didn't do what CTU normally does and use traffic surveillance cameras and satallite imagery to track them down?

Oh and Jack's escape from the parking lot by driving through the garage wall and escaping unscratched was so....jack.

Don't get me wrong. I love it.

It's a good season so far, but shouldn't they be getting it by now? How many leaks or breaches will it take before they start believing Jack when he says there is one?

I gets annoying when there are leaks everywhere.

Bill asked Cloe about traffic and other surveillance cameras and she said she took care of them.
We found this out when up tight white shirt computer geek at FBI (forget his name) said he couldn't access them.
Though no mention was made of sat images but ill assume super Cloe had taken care of those as well.

Lets not forget that the FBI is *not* CTU. They may not have access to all the satellites, etc. that CTU had. I mean, they probably don't even have a torture kit.

It would be too easy for Jack to do what he needs to do with the full support of the FBI, Homeland, or CTU. It makes it a challenge when he is viewed as a rogue and being hunted as he does his stuff. I think most seasons Jack was on the Outs with the powers that be.

Why would Jack go to the bother of capturing Tony (on the boat) only to break him out of the FBI office? You would think that the FBI would ask themselves that question.

My favorite scene - Jack uses a BIC pen to torture the guy (I guess a gun is not enough of a threat). I also enjoyed hearing Jack scream at Tony - clearly screaming is part of the process of extracting information.

My prediction - Jack and the lovely FBI agent will end up a couple by the end of the day.
