I am lost. I have a Heil furnace (Model #NCC5050BFB1). Where, oh where would this filter be??? I even looked at the ducts in the attic! A pictured would be so appreciated...you don't know how much. Man, I feel like a clown.

IF there is no 1" slot to the left or right of the furnace you may have an internal filter. Turn the power off, remove the top door and then the lower blower door and you should see it in there.
If you have an electronic air filter it is usually on the return air drop. Look for a 8"thick box. Your return air duct is where it is located. If you don't see anything within the first few feet of the furnace then its probably inside the blower compartment. If in doubt post a picture of your unit

I found it, with help of course. Having another set of eyes helps.
