Hi all,
Is there a way to have 2 modems? I have both modems from Shaw, one with the standby button and one without. The one being used now is the one without the button. I want to connect my other modem in another room that has a cable hookup. Is this possible? I know that you get 2 ip's with Shaw. |

Shaw will treat each modem like a separate service (ie. you'll pay twice what you're paying now). So that's not a good way to extend your connection to another room.
I suggest instead you look into a wireless router for the first room and wireless adapter for the computer in the second room.

It doesn't matter which you run seeing as the standby button is undergoing a full disable on all Shaw Motorola modems.
So, even if one has a standby button, and it still works, it won't for long. |
