As you have no doubt found out, not everything on HD channels is true HD. Much of the programming is still upconverted 4:3 SD. Where can you find out which programmes are in High Definition? Here are a number of websites: Since links can change frequently, some may be out of date. If you wish me to update anything, or provide additional sites, please PM me.

Some service providers provide information in the IPG as to whether a programme is HD, but that information is often missing or incorrect.
