Which receiver for Athena Micras: Panasonic XR55 or Yamaha 5760 - Canadian TV, Computing and Home Theatre Forums

I'm looking at the Yamaha because someone is selling one in my area. I'm looking at the Panasonic because of its price and large 'cult' following.

However, from my understanding of the Micras(haven't got them yet), they are bright, and both the Panasonic and Yamaha receivers have a reputation for being bright.

What do you guys think? Alternatives?

I have XR55. I would not classify it as bright. My qualification would be clarity and cleanness.

YEah I found a pretty good deal on them from JR.com ($159US + shipping) so i just decided what the hey...
