So I do some painting today. Move a few things around in the family room. I go out for a few hours, and notice we lost power for a little bit. I go to watch tv. My new 8300HD is not working, no channels no guide, nothing. Fearing a power surge has fried it, I call rogers.
They go through a few things, Then the question- Do you have the cable hooked up to the STB. I always roil my eyes with some of the damn questions they ask, Yes i reply. Then I notice that I did NOT plug the cable back into the wall..OH BOY, do I feel stupid. I was too embarrassed to tell the CSR what i did. We just reset the box and everything was cool..B UT MAN DID I FEEL STUPID.

Thanks for the chuckle. I came close to doing the same thing one time but thankfully my 6 year old son said "dad" shouldn't that wire be connected?
