Portable devices are taking over. Makes sense, why bother paying a subscrition or service for downloaded clips that are usually commercials pretending to be programming?? If you could recieve OTA on your phone or walkman, why would you need rogers?
We've spent years and dollars for higher resolution big screen tvs, built home theaters. Now they downrez/downsize it to fit on 2" screen. Its a shame really.

Well, despite the initial gotchas, I'm loving my non-traditional TiVo S3 for receiving and recording ATSC OTA programming. The only reason I need Rogers now is for the news programming (Fox News, MSNBC and BBC) programming that isn't broadcast.

I am curious in what way your TIVO S3 is "non-traditional?" Do you use it in your mini-van or RV so that the kids can watch OTA broadcasts on road trips or do you have it plugged into your cell phone or PDA somehow?
