Why did I get a dead links in the forum RSS feed? - Canadian TV, Computing and Home Theatre Forums

I have had a couple of complaints recently from users that their Forum RSS feeds have served up dead links.

The reason is that the thread was deleted after the RSS Feed was created.

RSS Feeds for the Digital forum are created every hour therefore any new threads created in the previous hour are added to the Forums RSS Feed.

This means that if a thread is deleted or merged by a moderator after the feed is created then the link in the RSS feed will be invalid.

In addition, please not that ONLY new threads are added to the feed. Threads with new posts in them will not.

If you would like to be notified of new posts in a thread, you must subscribe to that thread.
