Again the only way to get lossless (5.1 or 7.1) LPCM from PS3 is through HDMI with an 5.1 or 7.1 LPCM HDMI input enabled receiver which you do not have. Toslink/bitstream is lossy 5.1 DD (or DTS) only because the available bandwidth of the Fiber Optics circuits (around 2 Mbps) is not enough for full lossless (up to almost 24 Mbps) !
