Annoying buzzing sound - Canadian TV, Computing and Home Theatre Forums

Have recently connected the following for a friend:
Yamaha RXV357,to a set of B&W speakers, sony DVD player.
Everytime the power on the Yamaha is turned on, there is an annoying buzzing sound coming from all speaker and the sub.

Though of re-seating all speaker wires (to speakers and receiver) however though i would see if anyone here has had this problem.
