I have a CENTRIOS EDW8020 DVD recorder. I also have an Aspire one. My son accidently put the Aspire firmware update into the Centrios and it flashed the Centrios memory with the update. Needless to say the Centrios does not work anymore, the DVD tray will not open. It turns on and displayes the Aspire welcome page, THATS IT!!!
Is there anything I can do or am I screwed??

It's probably a door stop now. Maybe your son would enjoy taking it apart?

If you know how, you could pull the flash chip and flash it outside the unit, or hopefully it will have JTAG.
