Default What is the PS3's model number?

I just got the harmony 880 and would like to set it up to work with my PS3. Problem is I'm not sure where to find the model number on the box there are 3 different numbers which one is it.

I don't think that remote is going to do anything for you with the PS3. The PS3 does not have an infrared sensor and the Harmony 880 uses infrared.

Here is a thread on this topic:

Doesn't the PS3 use BlueTooth? If it does Harmony remotes wont work with it.

My Wii wont work with my remote cuz its bluetooth.

Just an FYI incase thats what the PS3 uses...

It is bluetooth. No harmony remote will work.

I'm waiting for either one of the following:

USB dongle that accepts IR signals to plug at the front of the PS3.

My preferred solution: a new Harmony model which supports Bluetooth (an excuse to replace my Harmony 688 ).

...and UHF. Many PVR's now have UHF remotes and until Harmony catches up, it's not much use.

If you are still looking for the number it is
PlayStation 3

You can use the PS2 DVD remote setup on your PS3 as I have done.
