New Guy. Just found this forum and its full of great info. I am thinking about getting an LG50PC3D that Future Shop has on sale today and tomorrow for a great price. They have it listed at 1999.99. Have never seen it that low. Does anyone have any suggestions as to whether this is a good set or not or should I wait for another brand that might go on sale. All info appreciated.

I heard it's a good set, the Panny 50px60u is only 500$ more, so that another option. I think the 50pc3d will set out pretty quickly at FS B&M.

Thanks for the quick reply Decadent. Your probably right about the sell out and I did notice the Panasonic as well. I may go up tomorrow and see the two side by side. I realize the panny is supposed to be in another league. If they sell out they may come up with a substitute. Who knows. It just comes down to how much your willing to spend on a TV.

I have the LG 50" and am fairly happy with it. Only big complaint I would have is the dark/black scenes are washed out. The Panny definitely is better in that category. The LG I think holds its own it most others.
When I was looking for a 50" plasma it was between this one and the Panny. I gave the Panny a slightly better review of the picture but the LG won hands down on price. The Panny was still up around $4300 and the LG was had for $2800, so I didn't think there was $1500 worth of difference there. Now with the two sets only $500 apart my choice might have been different. I think I probably of would went with the Panny then. LG comes with a 2yr warantee compared to the 1 yr with Panasonic. Panasonic has 2xHDMI where the LG only has 1 input. Both sets are good IMO. But like most would probably agree, the Panny would probably be the better TV. Cheers, Michael |

Couldn't get anyone to answer at FS so called Leon's...
They'll match FS's price and let you secure this price with a deposit...
