I finally got around to watching the Da Vinci Code DVD......a really good movie. Anyway, the topic of the Knights Templar comes up a few times during the movie and I had heard there was a connection between the Knights Templar and Freemasonary. Does anyone know about this...are there any Masons out there?

"Holy Blood, Holy Grail" goes into this in great detail. In it Freemasonry is only one of many organizations listed that claim to have its root in The Knights Templar.

wikipedia has lots of info on Freemasonry, Cathars, Knights Templar, et al.
Or you could read the Illuminatus Trilogy and really get your head messed up http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page |

Here is another site: http://www.masonicinfo.com/. This is interesting reading.....all the pros and cons and the history of the organization. There is also a connection between them and the Shriners.
