Default Favourite Kind Of Beer ?

So I noticed tonight that Alexander Keith’s has helped sponsor DHC and I suddenly realized that I actually don't drink much Canadian beer. If I do it is either Alexander or Steam Whistle... The most common in my fridge is Lezajsk, from Poland. I am not from Poland I just really enjoy this beer.

So what's your favorite ?

I wanted to do this as a poll with Domestic Vs Imported but could not figure out how to do it.

Cheers,
Cam

1) Guiness - It's good for you. It makes you strong.

2) 'Traditional Ale' by Big Rock - Come on, you Easterners, try an Albertan beer.

3) 'Fort Garry Dark' - Fort Garry Breweries, Winnipeg.

Too bad beer and insulin don't mix to well...

Default Asahi

I've been living in Europe for 35 years and tasted a lot of brands of beer (not all this time ). Here in Canada I prefer Asahi! The first time I tasted this beer 10 years ago. It was a 0.6L bottle brewed in Japan. This was the one and only bottle which label we couldn't steam off (friend of mine has been collected beer labels and caps). We were impressed by taste of this beverage. And remembered forever the main word from the label description - drinkability! So when you buy Asahi beer, always check the description. Here LCBO has two kind of Asahi beer - in 0.33 bottles and 0.5 cans. Beware - only 0.5 cans taste as the real Asahi (and be sure - they have the magic word).

Canadian: Miller's Coffee Porter is the best.

WBR, Victor.

PS. Have good drinkability.

PPS. Would you mind to make a poll about whiskey?

Canadian - Big Rock Traditional, Upper Canada Dark.

Foreign - Westmalle Dubbel (purchased through an importer, usually drink by itself), Leffe Blonde (or Brune depending on the food, or mood).

Wife likes: Duvel, Afflingem and Guiness.

All the foreign ones are Belgian Abbey beers (excepting Guiness). We drink them out of the appropriate glasses for the beers, just like in Europe, where a beer must be served in the appropriate glass.

Most Big Rocks, Most Sleemans, Kokanee Gold, Wildrose (Raspberry is REALLY good), Corona, Rolling Rock...Steam Whistle is good, Unibroue makes some very good strong beers as well. St. Ambrose Pale Ale is amazing, highly recommended.
Too many microbrews form the US to list. Fat Tire, Moose Drool to name a couple.

For me that would be a brown glass .

Being a bluenoser the default stock is Alexander Keith's. Other times Tremblay. My wife will pick up some specialty beers from time to time. I had one last summer that was raspberry flavored. I figured it would be horrible but to my surprise is was very refreshing. When I see it I will pick up a 12 of Kokanee. Just for the nostalgic value.

I've been meaning to try Guinness one of these days.
