I like this new layout much better. But agreed, wish we could turn the screen "off" but since this isn't just an audio stream and is now an SDV station, I don't see it happening. I also wish there was a way to see last song played. There is also room to show not just the next song, but the second song that is coming up.

No changes at all for me. Screen still blanks out after a few minutes, still don't like this. Using a Motorola SD STB in NL.

This thread is for Rogers Ontario. Atlantic is different. One thing I have noticed is that there have been more dropouts/breakup (bzzzzzzt) on my favourite channels - 722, 719 since this change. I hope that they get this ironed out soon, otherwise I may need to advise Rogers/Galaxie - something not so easy now that Rogers doesn't use e-mail anymore.

If anyone from Stingray is reading this, please look into the audio dropout and breakup issues. They occur roughly once a song, sometimes a bit less, sometimes a bit more. All channels appear to be affected but I listen mostly to channels 719-722.

Although there were occasional dropouts/breakup before the recent changes, those were quite occasional, whereas with the recent changes they are much more frequent.

The other odd thing I noticed was that for the "next song" it sometimes displays "You're listening to XXXX channel, by Stingray Digital" (their announcement). Very Odd to have that displayed in the sequence instead of the next song.

Thanks 57;I was beginning to get paranoid about all the current breakups on channel 729.It has gotten almost unbearable to listen to it.

Sent the following to the Galaxie Contact Us page. Anyone else who listens to these channels and has the issue should do the same, please - only takes a few seconds as I've supplied sample text and link. Thanks. The more people they hear from, the more likely a resolution.

Hello: For the past couple of days, since the most recent change to your layout on Rogers, there have been very frequent audio dropouts and breakup. I regularly listen to channels 719-722 on Rogers, but my neighbour who listens to different channels has the same issue. This has also been discussed on a High Definition forum and confirmed by others. The channels are almost unlistenable. The breakup occurs about once per song, sometimes less, sometimes more. Please fix. Thanks

I was getting dropouts on 713. I thought it was signal related but guess it wasn't...

I've been listening for over 3 hours now, no dropouts. Looks like they fixed it.

Good on Stingray and Rogers. Galaxie was down for a while this afternoon and when it came back it seems fine. I listened for about 1/2 hour and heard no issues.

Looks like we spoke too soon. I'm getting audio dropout about every song now.

Today,I also noticed a return of drop outs. However,in my case so far,the frequency is considerably lower than last Monday morning, but I still find it annoying.I may send another note to Galaxie if the situation continues or deteriorates.

Today, the frequency of break ups appeared to have increased.I counted 12 break ups in one hour on channel 729;one of which was a minimum of 10-15 seconds of dead air.I have sent another note to Galaxie.Since this represents only one sample size,I do not know what the" frequency of occurrence" normal distribution would be.I find this frequency unacceptable.

I've been listening for a few hours and noticed several dropouts/breakups on channel 722. It's been more "background" than actual listening, so I may have missed some. I'd say this is more than we used to have and fewer than we had right after the picture switch.

Feedback from Stingray since the issue of dropouts and breakups is still present - probably every two songs or so...
