I don't think it does. I'm currently trying out Unotelly's free trial and I definitely see more selection (alot more acutally!) but when I try to use the search function, I don't seem to be getting lots of hits.
For example, if I try typing "wro" I won't see "Murder She Wrote" come up at all. I know you're probably saying "why don't you try typing in "murder" and see what you get". The point I'm trying to make is that the Netflix search function doesn't work all that great when trying to find stuff. I tried looking up the title "My Life" and typing in "life" doesn't show the movie. That's really stupid. Sometimes you don't know the entire name of what you're looking for. That sort of tells me that us 360 users are getting the shaft. Can anyone confirm this or am I doing something wrong? I didn't even realize at first that we could search for titles....I was simply going by what choices I had on the screen. I've also tried looking up some of the titles on this page: http://netflixusacompletelist.blogsp...ug-7-2012.html I didn't see alot of those titles come up even after typing in the FULL name. What's up with that? |

Your Canadian Xbox points to the Canadian Netflix. So, no you will not be able to stream any movies from Netflix US.
All Canadian IP addresses get routed to Netflix Canada. If you want to get the US version you will have to use a VPN service that gives you a US IP address and then you can use the US service. Hope this helps John http://themancavecinema.com |

Ummm.....it's obvious that you don't know what Unotelly is.
I am using a service which gives me access to the US library....otherwise I wouldn't be posting this question. I knew a long time ago that us Canadians always get the shaft when it comes to the amount of content we have access to. Can anyone else who's using Netflix on their 360 verify this? By the way, I'm not complaining if we don't get access to every single title on that list....I'm just curious as to why the titles aren't showing up when I search for them. The only thing that comes to mind is maybe some of those US titles are dvd's. Anyone have any theories or proof? Last edited by 57; 2012-08-11 at 06:05 PM. Reason: UQR |

Well, your right I don't know what Unotelly is. Do you have a link for them so I can look into it for myself?

Some streaming services only allow you to see certain content via a TV connected device. That is, consoles and streaming video devices sometimes don't get access to the content that you can see on a HTPC. Of course, there are some examples where the reverse is true. I can think of at least one content provider that only allows you to see content SD content on a PC and they allows SD and HD content on a console.
This is unfortunate, but it's the reality for now. Fortunately for Netflix it only seems to affect a tiny minority of their titles. |

Just Google "unotelly" and check out their site.
Since you're new at this, I also recommend another service called unblockus. Google that one too. Both give us Canadians a chance to watch US content. |
