The apk is in the market, as well as there's an option in RON to send an SMS with links to download the apk.
Did you try either method to get the apk?

Yep, both. It says it's not compatible with my phone.

There are actually several people on Rogers Redboard who have confirmed they have the same error, and they are also on Android 4.0+. So that appears to be the issue, even though Rogers documentation says Android 2.1+

I'm getting a similar error as some other posters (i.e. keeps logging me out saying I'm logged in on another computer).

Anyone found a solution to this. Loving the service so far as a I work from home but getting logged out all the time is a pain.

How are phone calls handled on your computer? Does it require their own app? Or can you use a soft phone?

Default Rogers One Number Add-on Device

I was curious if anyone has this new Rogers One Number Add-on Device. Can someone explain how it works and what it does? The website says this device turns your wireless and home phone into an IP phone, sounds confusing.

You have to buy an ATA for $25 and pay $9.99 a month and it will essentially give you a voip service to use with any regular landline telephone. Pretty good alternative to a POTS line imo. Haven't tried it though.

got a good question here. I have a line with rogers that has minutes and data. can i set up rogers one number and log in with the browser on another device(phone) that has no minutes plan (data only) and use one number to make a call?
basically i want to share data because its a lot cheaper than a full share plan and use the one number service to make calls if needed.

No a plugin needs to be installed before you can make phone calls from the one number portal. The plugin can only he installed on windows and Mac computers. There are plenty of free apps that offer free VOIP calling from a mobile app. No need to rely on Rogers for that.

You can try Dell Voice. It runs on smart phones and is free.

Old thread, I know, but for any Rogers customers who weren't aware, the android(and iPad) tablet app have been released for a bit now, allowing you to make calls and text from your tablet, over WiFi and 3g

I did try setting it up but the required two files/or apps wouldnt come down to the phone, I assumed one needed a data plan for them to arrive, I don't have a data plan, I thought they may have used wifi.
I was really just checking it out to see if it had any value to me, I mostly use BBMessenger so I don't think so. I could be wrong

It's a pretty good app, it's great to be able to make calls on my Galaxy Tab 10.1 over wifi

Yeah, it was a life saver when my phone was gone for a week for warranty repairs.

I like using my tab to text too, with it's bluetooth keyboard.
