I always thought that Reference 3A were from France.
I had a friend that had them in 1980 self amplified and very impressive for such a small speaker. Turns out the were bought and brought to Canada in 92. Nice to see them again. http://canadahifi.com/index.php/refe...po-i-speakers/

Unfortunately, a number of companies from the original list are no longer around. For example, Lightening audio is no more.

Fluance is also an Canadian based company (Niagara Falls, Ontario).
They were in the top five of CNet in the speaker category for while because they were very good price/quality ratio. |
