Default CIII-29

I talked to the VP of Tech at Shaw Media, and they said, a month before this year Oil Springs goes to Digital, they will have a scroll at the bottom of the screen telling people that they are changing. BTW, since CBC went off, I get 29 a lot better, almost as clear as 42 now.

Since they haven't even started the scroll yet that is not particularily good news for those of us waiting for the switch. It means another month or more of waiting, minimum. Oil Springs reception has also improved for me since CBC went off air. Hopefully that bodes well for digital reception.

Default CIII 29

I have sent another email off today, to them, hopefully they should get back to me. I am noticing now, that I get 29, a lot clearer, and also 42 almost as clear as it can get.

TVO-33 in Chatham has been dark, atleast in Chatham for two days now, plenty of signal just no signal in the signal. Either lost feed or trying something to fix HD *crosses fingers*

Anyone else have this in Windsor, London, etc

According to a Tweet from TVO earlier this evening, in response to my question regarding London's TVO transmitter broadcasting in SD:

Quote:
Yes, we've had technical issues in the Windsor tower, which also rebroadcasts to London. It should be fixed in the fall.

I thought they originally said everything was daisy chained out from Toronto, which would make Windsor one of the end points lol.

Either way HD would be nice before Christmas

^^ That's great news for TVO channel 18.1 viewers in the London-area!

Hopefully we'll see Sarnia-Oil Springs' CIII-TV-29 converted to digital within the next couple of months.

Would like to see Channel Zero get an HD feed to their CHCH rebroadcasters, in order to upgrade CHCH channel 51.1 from Alvinston, ON to OTA HD.

Now, if CTV/Bell would convert their Sarnia-Oil Springs' CKCO-3 to digital, that would benefit London and area OTAers as well.

They did. Is it possible they flipped the daisy chain around?

Default Digital transmitter and multiplexing approved for CFTV Leamington

Digital transmitter and multiplexing has been approved for CFTV Leamington.

http://crtc.gc.ca/eng/archive/2012/2012-446.htm

Hopefully we will see more multiplexing in the future.
