If you are in the coverage area, get a Wind internet stick (or if you want WiFi for multiple devices, get the pocket hotspot.
By far the cheapest option for those not able/willing to sign a long term contract. TTYL |

Looking for any recent high-speed feedback for Morrisburg.
Moving in August, both my wife and I work from home, so rock solid reliability and decent speed is critical (doesn't need to be 10mb, but something over 2 is highly desirable). And of course, there's no cable available, so it's looking like DSL is the only reasonable alternative. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. |

What kind of service do you need? If you need the kind of speeds/caps that only home internet can provide, look at the various third party providers. Teksavvy offers 2 and 6 mbps DSL connections with a $50 activation fee (plus a modem which will run you about $20).

Where can I get a modem for $20 or a good price. Teksavvy has them at $75 and $100.

Cable or DSL? DSL modems are available at almost every major computer store.

Cable modem that can be used in Quebec. Agent told this is important as some do not have the right firmware and it can be complicated to make it work with the respective provider.

Here's my ISP provider, innsys.ca, they have a promotion till June 10. $19.99/m but you have to pay one year upfront. This price will stay on until you decide to go away.

Looking for a phone, internet, and TV bundle in New Brunswick; FibreOp is getting expensive as hell and Rogers offers $99 bundle for 2 years. However, Rogers is the spawn of Satan and I want to avoid them like the plague with caps and throttling. My options are limited; what do?

So how many years do we have to wait for Google Fiber? I'm guessing 2022.

I got my Shaw bill yesterday, and saw that they are raising the rates again. Time to shop around for a new (better?) ISP.
All I need is internet service, I don't need TV, nor phone service (I use voip.ms). I'd like the fastest speed for the lowest price. I'd also like to have a good, consistent connection. I don't need tech support, except to explain why I have no connection. So far it seems that my options are Shaw, Telus, Teksavvy, Lightspeed and Distributel. Can anybody in the Vancouver area comment on their level of satisfaction with Teksavvy, Lightspeed or Distributel? |

Any suggestions for finding a DOCSIS 3.0 modem that can be used with Teksavvy?
Or is the price of the Technicolor DCM476 from Teksavvy of $990 + $10 shipping not to bad. ie. not a lot of savings to be had.

Anyone in Ontario using Electronicbox?
Their plans seem very competitive and I like the unlimited 2am to noon window. The reviews I've seen are very good but I've not seen any for people in Ontario. I've sent them a bunch of questions in an e-mail - I'll see if they reply at all. |

Rogers doesn't want to give me discount for Internet Cable (that I have now). I want to move to another provider. After searching the Web, I think that TekSavvy will be my first choice.... Any other suggestions? I live in North-West Mississauga...
