Default New Channel changes

With the channels being moved next week i'm wondering how that will affect the gateway and it's ability to not show channels on the list.
I have all the SD channels that i have in HD not to show up, will i have to change everything when they move the channels?

It looks like it did move the channels over, though it did add superchannel that i had blocked but i'm surprised it even moved it over.

For the following channels I am getting
Channel 218.1(TBA)

218
219
281
282

Where 218 is 219, 281 , 282

If it's not fixed tomorrow I will pull the plugs to reboot

If 218 and 219 are TSN HD and TSN 2 HD where you are then I would guess that 281 and 282 are sports channels showing the Olympics.

If these are the only channels showing Channel xxx.1 (TBA) then these are (supposed to be) duplicate channels, at the old channel number, of these stations that have been moved to new numbers. They are being left at the old numbers, I have been told, until after the Olympics when they will disappear.

Supposedly they have been left to allow some older PVRs to function with previously scheduled Olympic recordings.

You should check for the new channel numbers for these stations and use those. If you have more such channels then start reading Channel Changes - All Service Areas August 7/8

The sports channels are all at lower numbers, at least for my area, so I would guess that the 281 and 282 channels will be Movie Central HD 2 and 3 when available in the subscriber area. The fact that it shows TBA is probably because Shaw either thinks the required DNU upgrade is close to complete in that area or they sent the wrong guide configuration and should have sent a configuration without those channels until the DNU is done for that area.

My 218 and 219 still show as TBA (as expected) but, you are right GWNorth, my 281 and 282 are MC HD and MC2 HD, respectively, and now have populated Guide entries. I haven't seen any other TBA channels - doesn't meant there aren't any.

I still have 281 and 282 showing as TBA. Called Shaw and the guy
tried re-booting, pushing updates etc. After 30 min he told me it was
a known issue in the Edmonton area and that the upgrades are still on
going.
Dont know what to think - might call back again tomorrow and give this
another shot.

To get channels 281 + 282 you must be in a DNU completed area and subscribe to the movie central package. Can we confirm that those not getting these channels have those 2 stiplations in place? I am also asking our operations team for an update here for you guys.

EDIT: So I just got an update that this is a known issue as mentioned before and the relevant teams are working to restore these channels as soon as possible - there is no firm estimated time of completion so it could be a few days. Those affected would be in a DNU area and subscribed to the Movie Central package. As soon as I get more updates I will post here. The other HD channels in the package should still be working ok.

Thanks Shaw Champ, that was what the guy I spoke to on Thursday
mentioned.

Just wanted to see if I was being given the run around.

Thx.
